Flashback!!
Well, here I am in the grocery store, with firm mind to pick up most of the healthy ingredients.
I am standing in front of row and row packets of Broken Wheat/Dalia and Chipsss....
With my firm mind, I moved my head towards the packet of Dalia and here my mind started popping out a lot of questions!! Are you making Dalia??? But why, do I look ill!!! No Hospital Food Pleasee!! #mydailyhustle
Have you ever been bombarded with these questions??
Whenever, I take out my kitchen tool and try to move my magic wand over the Broken wheat/Dalia!!, I am being stopped profusely by the witches of my house(witches over here represent my husband & siblings over superhero healthy ingredients)!!
So, I have to adjust my chef cap a little bit to give a space to my nutritionist cap and explain it to them!!..
With increasing incline towards healthy life, we all have that tiny chef and nutritionist in us and thus, leads us to understand which grain or which ingredient on this planet will provide health benefits!!
You know, all these ingredients were always known for their health benefits like nachni for calcium and iron and hence recommended to lactating mother - Well in the same way Dalia is considered to be a light nutritious food, which not only provides nutrients and energy required during your ill state - but also helps your tummy deal with its digestive issues.
Aha!! Now we know the secret behind calling it an age-hold method for stomach upset;but did you know apart from this benefit: They are more than that - lets look at 2 important ones in a jist:
Weight Loss: Now, I can see those eyes popping!! ;) Well yesss, Dalia is a fibre rich food which makes you feel fuller faster and for longer. It has an ability to work as an soluble and insoluble fibre.
Controls Blood Sugar levels: Fibre and Blood Sugar levels go hand in hand. If your dietary fibre intake is good, your blood glucose levels are low and vice versa. Of course, It all happens when you club it with healthy lifestyle!

Now, we know its 2 importanf health benefits - but again the question comes of Taste and I will NOT compromise!!
So how do we make Dalia, an interesting one....
1. I usually make pancakes along with oats, veggies and our hero of the article!!
2. Have you tried ever making rissotto using Broken wheat?? Try it...its yummilicious!!
3. Next time, you make kheer...add dalia instead of rice!! Trust me...its better than before!!
4. Plain add it in your dosa batter.
5. Try adding it in your porridge next time, believe me its scrumptious.
6. Pulao with Dalia?? How about that??
Many many more such ideas..So, lets make our tummy and tongue happy!!
Oh well!!! All this writing is making me hungry..Gotta go and make something healthy and definitely tasty..see you all soon with my new topic new hustle..
